Tesla has once again put up for display its all-electric pick-up truck, the Cybertruck, at the Cyber Rodeo show at its new Gigafactory in Texas, and the electric vehicle (EV) is expected to roll out in 2023.
The latest variant of Tesla’s Cybertruck comes with a slew of changes and upgrades compared to its previous prototypes.

The overall outline of the Tesla Cybertruck seems to be almost identical compared to the previous prototype. However, there are some significant changes.
The cabin of the electric pick-up truck appears to be incomplete with a yoke inspired by Tesla’s Model S and Model X. There are missing airbags as well.
The interior of the electric vehicle will most likely come with more elements and upgrades.
The Cybertruck also has side view cameras. However, they are positioned in a different spot in the current prototype compared to the previous one. They now come in a plastic cladding around the front wheels and this could be their final position.
During the Cyber Rodeo, Tesla chief executive officer (CEO) Elon Musk reiterated that the Cybertruck will see production start in the beginning of next year. Also, deliveries could happen in the same year as well.
Tesla’s Cybertruck is among the EVs that the American people have been waiting for with bated breath.
The Cybertruck will be manufactured in Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas. Tesla invited nearly 15,000 to the Cyber Rodeo.
To add spice to the announcement, Tesla lined up red, white, and blue cars in a formation that depicts Texas state’s flag.
But instead of getting awe-struck with the show, it is to be seen how many of these announcements turn into actual production.
Musk also proudly claimed that two-thirds of US’s EVs are Tesla cars. He praised the accomplishments of Tesla’s artificial intelligence team for this.
The billionaire also claimed that Tesla’s Giga Texas is taller than the Burj Khalifa if one turned the factory on its side and the facility could accommodate 194 billion hamsters.
Cybertruck was supposed to roll out around late 2021. But Tesla delayed the production schedule to late 2022 and then to the beginning of 2023.
Tesla has been rapped by critics for delaying the roll out of its Cybertruck.
Elon Musk had said that 2022 will be the year of ramping up output — a production scale, he claimed, that no company has ever achieved.
And, next year will be the one where Tesla will launch a slew of EVs. Moreover, its Optimus humanoid robot production will begin in 2023. This will be followed by robotaxi and Tesla Semi EV.
Tesla may have been late but several auto giants in the US, like General Motors and Ford Motor, have already brought in their respective electric pick-up trucks such as the GMC Hummer EV and Ford F-150 Lightning to the market.
GM and Ford have given themselves an early advantage, thanks to Tesla’s dilly-dally over the Cybertruck.
Tesla’s display of the upgraded Cybertruck, and the delayed launch to 2023, could substantially take away its market and come as a boon for carmakers like Ford and GM.
