The Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC is the world’s most aerodynamic car and comes with a drag coefficient of as low as 0.20, implying it would offer one of the most comfortable and seamless drives.
An aerodynamic car reduces drag and wind noise, minimises car noise and lowers to a considerable extent aerodynamic instability at high speeds. It ensures a very smooth drive and high stability, when driven at speeds of over 110 km per hour (69 miles).

This drag coefficient of 0.20 has also paved the way for the EQS 580 4MATIC to become the luxury electric vehicle with the highest range (In India) of 857 km as certified by ARAI.
The high-powered lithium-ion battery offers a usable energy content of 107.8 kWh. It comes with a powerful 400-volt battery that has been made using the latest lithium-ion technology.
This Merc model is equipped with mind blowing technology through the advanced infotainment system MBUX Hyperscreen.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC is a top car so far as safety goes and is equipped with a whopping nine airbags for customer safety.
The EQS comes with a rigid passenger cell, a state-of-the-art restraint system and special deformation zones, similar to all Merc cars.
The EQS is based on an all-electric architecture, which opens doors to new design areas for the safety concept. In fact, a preferred location could be chosen for installation of the battery, in a crash-protected area in the under-body, for instance.
In a further boost to safety, besides the standard crash tests, the car’s performance in various other situations was also noted and extensive component tests were carried out at the Vehicle Safety Technology Centre (TFS), Sindelfingen (Germany).
The drive experience of the EQS 580 is unparalleled as there is a rear-axle steering with 10-degree steering angle for adjustment. There is also the HEPA Filter, Predictive Route Planning and Dynamic Select among the litany of features.
Sustainability gets a big boost via recycled and renewable raw materials along with the use of recycled steel, among other elements.
Charging infra plan
To give a fillip to EV adoption, Mercedes-Benz India is planning to set up the largest ultra-fast charging network by any luxury car maker in India. With this ambitious plan, Merc wants to cover 80 per cent of India by this year itself with its charging infra.
To make this experience hassle free, the ultra-fast chargers would only be available to Mercedes-Benz customers where free and round-the-clock services would be available.
