Mumbai-based PMV Electric will be launching its first electric vehicle (EV) in India for the masses — the EaS-E, which would be unveiled on November 16, while Honda showcased its new concept, the second one in the e:N series for electric cars in China, where it plans to roll out 10 cars in five years.
PMV Electric is targeting daily urban users, who would be going from home to office, factory or shop and back. The EaS-E is likely to come in three variants.

According to the car manufacturer, the EV’s prototype is ready. Kalpit Patel, PMV Electric’s founder, said, “We are happy to officially unveil the electric car. This is a significant achievement for us. We would like to come up with a world-class EV made by an Indian company. We aim to electrify India and plan to roll out a new segment called the Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV), which would be for everyday use.”
PMV EaS-E will come with a range of up to 200 km on a single charge. It may have a 10 Kwh lithium iron phosphate battery that belts out a maximum power of 20hp.
The EV is likely to come with a smart compact car design. It would contain a clamshell bonnet, a squared grille with full-width LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), circular LED headlamps along with a raked windscreen.
The EaS-E may have large windows, flared wheel arches and alloy wheels. It would come with a taillight on the rear along its full width.
Talking about the interiors, the PMV EaS-E is expected to be a two-seater micro EV with minimalist dashboard and fabric upholstery. It could sport remote keyless entry along with cruise control, power windows and manual AC.
It may have a slew of additional offerings like an LCD instrument cluster along with an infotainment panel with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. It could come with a multi-functional steering wheel.
On the pricing front, the PMV EaS-E micro SUV could win many hearts — it may carry a price tag of Rs 4 lakh (Rs 400,000). Details about the pricing and availability will be unveiled within the next six days.
Honda’s second e:N series electric cars to be intelligent vehicles
Honda’s fresh e:N series concept comes with sharp and smart styling. The interior provides an adequate comfort level to its drivers with a refreshed style.
It comes with an artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem e:N OS, which paves the way for a digital cockpit. It has cutting-edge intelligent tech, which takes human perception to the next level.
The concept is also equipped with an intelligent pure electric architecture, e:N Architecture F and has powerful intelligent computing capabilities.
The e:N series cars will provide quick response to its drivers and with the 360 Degree Surrounding feature (equipped with a sensor camera and 5 mm wave radars), it would help avoid accidents.
Conclusion
So, if PMV prices the EaS-E below Rs 5 lakh (Rs 500,000), it would surely see a good response from entry-level car buyers while Honda’s new concept in China would be an intelligent marvel, high on the safety and features fronts.
