With six EVs by 2028, will Hyundai be the market disruptor?

Hyundai is planning to bring in six electric vehicles (EVs) into India by 2028 and these cars will serve all segments — from the mass market to premium customers — and could the move make it the disruptor in the Indian market?
 
This would be a smart move by the South Korean company as it would offer a wider EV choice to its customers, which could turn out to be a game changer for its sales.

Will Citroen C3 electric steal the thunder away from Tata Tiago EV?

Citroen is now betting big on India’s electric vehicle (EV) market by bringing in the affordable electric C3 and this will help the company catch the volume customers early, and maybe, steal the thunder away from the Tata Tiago electric, which was till now India’s most-affordable EV.

For Citroen and other car makers, bringing in an affordable EV makes sense because that is the prime purpose of an EV, that is, saving costs as well as the environment from toxic fuel.

With XUV400, XUV700 launch plans, Mahindra readies to take on Tata

The Mahindra XUV.e8, which would be the all-new electric version of the XUV700, is likely to be launched around December 2024, while XUV400 electric’s booking is on, which shows that Mahnidra is ready for the big battle with Tata in India’s electric vehicle (EV) space.
 
The price range of the Mahindra electric XUV700 may be around Rs 20 lakh (Rs 20,00,000) and the large SUV would slug it out with the likes of Tata Harrier EV, which is set to be rolled out around the same time.

Auto Expo 2023 | Cheaper Hyundai Ioniq 5 may beat Kia EV6 in sales

Hyundai has finally rolled out the Ioniq 5 at the Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida, and the crossover will be Rs 16 lakh (Rs 16,00,000) cheaper than its sister car, the Kia EV6, as the former will be assembled in India.

The Ioniq 5 will come for an introductory price of Rs 44.95 lakh (Rs 44,95,000) (ex-showroom) to the first 500 customers, which is still steep.
