Xiaomi’s first electric vehicle (EV), dubbed the MS 11, could be out within the next 15 months to two years and may soon become one of the highest-selling EVs globally.
It is believed that the tech giant has made rapid strides towards rolling out this EV, giving a clear indication by releasing its photos on multiple occasions.
It is clear that the electric car is in its advanced stages of manufacture as it has been spotted multiple times on China’s roads.
Xiaomi MS 11’s looks
So, far as the looks go, the MS 11 has a futuristic design with sporty looks as well as a Tesla-like feel. Design-wise, it is also similar to the BYD Seal EV, which is set to roll out in India around 2023-end.
In fact, the Xiaomi EV’s full-length glass roof and large wheels are similar to the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y.
However, the headlights look somewhat like those found on the McLaren 720S.
It may be so that the images of the MS 11 released are that of an earlier design, which may well have been discarded.
The images of the MS 11 show a good-looking sedan having a full-length glass roof with large wheels as well as Wilwood brakes, which are one of the best options for performance cars.
At the centre of the wheels, there is a Xiaomi logo and the MS 11 car has a LIDAR sensor that is there on the top of the windshield.
The rear arches are wide and the passenger cabin narrows a tad towards the rear. The design of the tail lights somewhat resembles that of an Aston Martin.
Under the headlights are air intakes, mainly for brake cooling. There are C-shaped inserts, which surround the bottom portion of the front bumper’s air inlets.
We are not sure about the interior of the MS 11 yet, but details could trickle out within a few months.
Xiaomi’s affordable EV?
It seems that the MS 11 can turn out to be an affordable electric car that offers a good degree of comfort.
The MS 11 may turn out to be yet another typical Xiaomi product — that maintains high standards at an affordable price point.
We could soon see a display of a prototype of the MS 11 by Xiaomi and a full launch is likely to take place maybe at the end of 2024.

The Xiaomi MS 11 may be offered with a self-developed electric motor and batteries will come from CATL and BYD.
The Xiaomi EV may come with an 800-volt system, which could belt out 260kW of power.
MS 11’s distance covered on single charge
Earlier, the company had said that its first electric vehicle would cover a whopping 1,000 km on a single charge.
This would make it one of the top EVs in this parameter. We have to see whether Xiaomi will stick to its promise or not.
