The Tata Tigor recently rolled out in India and is one of the safest electric vehicles (EVs) in the country, and other EVs that have a phenomenal safety rating are the BYD Atto 3 and the Kia EV6. So, let us see which of the three is the safest to the third safest.

Atto 3 achieves high scores
Another accolade that it has achieved is a string of milestones — it managed a score of 91 per cent in adult occupancy protection, 89 per cent in child occupancy protection, 69 per cent in vulnerable road users (slightly on the lower side), as well as 74 per cent in safety assist.
Atto 3 EV’s safety USPs
BYD Atto 3 EV comes equipped with safety features such as airbags, high-beam assist, anchor points for child seat, overspeed warning, speed-sensing door lock, middle rear three-point seat belt, flashing emergency brake light, lane-departure warning, and most importantly — forward-collision warning and automatic-emergency braking.

BYD Atto 3 comes in five colour options — Parkour Red, Boulder Grey, Ski White, Surf Blue and Forest Green.

BYD Atto 3 EV is offered with a starting price of Rs 33.99 lakh (Rs 3.3 million).
Kia EV6 also scores high
The Kia EV6 has clinched the highest safety rating from Euro NCAP where it bagged a five-star safety rating on the Euro NCAP crash test.

EV6 safety features
The EV6 managed 90 per cent in adult occupancy protection, 86 per cent in child occupancy protection, 64 per cent in vulnerable road users (also slightly lower), and 87 per cent in safety assist.
It showed robust performance in six tests, including passenger-side small overlap, driver-side small overlap, moderate overlap as well as side, roof strength, and head restraint tests.
It has a slew of safety features, including eight airbags, automatic emergency braking, lane assist, speed assist, driver monitoring and seatbelt reminder.
Price and variants
Kia EV6 is a premium car and has a starting price of Rs.60.95 lakh (Rs 6.1 million). It comes in two variants — the GT Line and GT Line AWD.
Colour options
It is offered in five colour options: Snow White Pearl, Moonscape, Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl and Yacht Blue.

E-Vroooom’s views
So, we see the BYD Atto 3 EV, Tata Tigor and the Kia EV6 as the top 3 safest EVs in India but, according to us, Tata Tigor would be in third place (8.5/10), the BYD Atto 3 in second (8.8/10) and the Kia EV6 is clearly the winner (9/10) (even though it is the costliest) as it is offering a lot more safety features than the BYD Atto 3 and the Tata Tigor.
