A look at the new Talaria Dragon Electric Enduro bike

The electric off-road motorcycle space in the UK is zooming ahead with new, high-performance models, which are sidestepping for future off-roaders like the Talaria Dragon Enduro electric bike.

Some of the others in this segment are the likes of Sur-Ron, as well as high performance-oriented models like the Cake Kalk.

Among these, the Talaria is looking to take the crown in the electric dirt bike segment.

In fact, during EICMA 2023, an exhibition of two wheelers held in Milan, Talaria presented its most high-performance-oriented model it has ever produced.

Talaria Dragon to set new benchmark

Named the Dragon, this electric Enduro bike packs a punch, having full-sized proportions, and rolls on a 21-18-inch wheel combo.

It has a robust showing in terms of performance, and once rolled out in the market, it may set a new benchmark for lightweight off-road two-wheelers.

While very little is known about the availability of the new off-roader, there are some of the bike’s key specs that have surfaced along with a string of photos from Talaria UK’s social media account.

A peek into the Dragon’s performance

The Talaria Dragon is propelled by a mid-drive electric motor, which sends power to the rear wheel through a chain drive.

Nominal power output of the Talaria Dragon is 10 kilowatts (about 13.4 horsepower), However, that pales compared to its peak power output of 28 kilowatts (38 horsepower).

If you pair so much power with the instantaneous throttle response of an electric motor, you may consider that you have quite an unwieldy beast.

Top speed of the Talaria Dragon

If you rookie bikers think the Dragon is a beginner-friendly bike, you will be disappointed.

The top speed of the Dragon is electronically controlled at 110 km per hour (69 miles an hour).

Battery, charging of the Talaria Dragon

So far as the battery goes, it’s an 88.8-volt, 58.5-amp-hour pack that assures you a range of about 150 km (94 miles) on a single charge.

However, the rider (condition) for this is that you have to maintain a speed of 25 km per hour (15.6 miles per hour).

The Talaria Dragon needs a charging time of only four hours using the AC110/230V-50/60 Hz charger.

Talaria Dragon modes, suspension, wheels and brakes

Moreover, the motorcycle allows three ride modes to choose from — Eco, Sport, and Hyper.

The other components that are responsible for making the bike an off-roader are a long-travel suspension system, which comes with a fully adjustable Air and Spring fork up front having a 250 millimeters of travel.

The rear shock is a linkage-type setup, and is offered with a full suite of adjustability.

The e-bike comprises a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel, and uses standard Enduro/dual-sport tyres. It also has front and rear hydraulic disc brakes.

As mentioned above, the company has kept mum on information regarding the pricing and availability of the new Talaria Dragon. In fact, Talaria has not yet listed it on its portal.

E-Vroooom’s views
