Tata Motors sees diesel vehicles going away when the next emission norms are rolled out.

The automaker has 15 per cent sales from diesel variants, 20 per cent from CNG, and for electric vehicles, they are around 15 per cent. The remaining is petrol.

Tata Motors plans to launch gasoline direct injection (GDI) engines. This category of engines operates by injecting fuel directly into the combustion chamber, thus providing significantly improved fuel efficiency.
